Serve bubbles because well why wouldn’t you? Plus nothing sets the mood like a bit of bubbly. When in Spain – serve Cava, of course. I love the Conde de Haro, from Muga. Put a strawberry in the glass to spritz it up!
Paul McCartney at London’s O2 Arena Last Sunday, I was at London’s O2 Arena for the final show of Paul McCartney’s Freshen Up Tour. We got the tickets ages ago and heard from many dubious people not to bother seeing the show as people said his voice “was gone”. In the end, I’m really glad we didn’t […]
Chefchaouen also called the “Blue Pearl” is a smurf-like blue village with a kaleidoscope of blue buildings, streets, and alleys.
The effect of the blue against the backdrop of the mountains is dazzling and once again that unworldly feeling swept over me.
The wine lovers of our group took a road trip to Sancerre. It was a bit of a mission as the town of Sancerre sits on the very eastern edge (left bank) of the Loire Valley and was 200 km away from our château based in Langeais. But if you love wine, and you’re into Sancerre (me!) then it’s well worth the pilgrimage.
What’s better than a girl’s trip? As a woman, NOTHING, and I mean absolutely f’cking nothing! Time away with your female tribe is immensely special and absolutely mandatory. Every couple of years, I take a trip with my female tribe. This year (September), my eclectic and crazy femmes went to The Loire Valley, France and […]
Last weekend, we went to London to see “Hamilton”, and it was off the charts good! So good, that I will even venture to say the best musical produced in my lifetime, and we all know there have been some great ones. Last month, I turned 45! I’ve always embraced my age and love celebrating my birthday. Actually, I just love birthdays in general. It’s the one day of year when it’s truly your day when all things are about you. This last birthday came with some reflection now that I’m officially middle aged….cause yes, I’m hoping […]
Want your child to swim like a fish and embrace the water? Step One: Ditch the water wings. 6 Reasons to Ditch the Wings: They can easily pop, deflate and/or slide off (sun lotion) – leaving your child at risk of drowning. Toddlers are able to pull them off within seconds, often without being noticed […]
Last Easter we visited Phuket, Thailand. Phuket is actually pronounced “poo-KET”, the h is silent. Which leaves it sounding rather unfortunate. However, I can assure you it is not!
This year has already marked some epic trips for me. I’ve been to Switzerland, Thailand, Morocco, United Kingdom, USA and even a brief stop in my original hood – Toronto, Canada. I thinks it’s fair to deem myself as a Serial-traveller. Some of these trips have been for one or two weeks getaways, and others relatively quick over nights.
During these travels and the ones prior, I’ve learned a few things. Some of which may surprise you.
